How about a sponge? Holds moisture a bit longer than papertowel does and has a rough side they can rub against when shedding.

Paper towels for most... If they're huge and tip their boxes they have peat... Breeding females are always on peat...

I rotate between 3 wash clothes and use boiling water to clean them. Works good for me.

i also use a tupperware container, but a churched up version. basically just hot glue chunks of styrofoam all over it, cover that with grout, paint & seal.

I used to use paper towels, but I noticed a foul odor - almost like urine - coming from the humid hide. I stopped using paper towel and now use s. moss. Maybe it was the brand of paper towel?

I was going to use paper towel, but I think I'll go with moss if my pet store sells it

Getting some good feedback for it.

I use a little hamster hide, IMO I think it will retain the moisture well with the smaller opening and larger inside.

I use both sphagnum moss and paper towel. A layer of the moss with paper towel over it.

A couple days after I voted on this poll, I got ride of the sphagnum moss and now I just do paper towel. The crickets were getting into the moss and dying in it, making it very nasty. They don't like the paper towel as much and it is much less messy and easier to replace than moss. Toon doesn't seem to mind the difference.
