Thoughts about feedings

I have roughly a 7-8 month old female tangerine carrot tail that has only been eating meal worms. When I bought her at 4 months old, she was solely trained on meal worms. Every night when I feed, and yes I feed daily, she will eat anywhere from 12-18 per night. Except those nights when she is about/going to shed. I have been dusting the feeders with rapashy calcium plus, and changing water daily. She looks great, nice fat tail, color is amazing. My question is, am I feeding her too much? should I be feeding every other day? How long will her appetite last? She has a great appetite. Thoughts about introducing her to new feeders? Any thoughts would be great. This forum is great, and I appreciate any opinions you may have.

Thanks,

She's certainly getting a little chubby, and if she continues eating at this rate, you may have to start limiting her so she doesn't get outright obese.

I'm a big fan of diet variety, so introduce her to new feeders slowly. You may need to hold off feeding mealworms until she gets hungry enough to try something new, depending upon her personality.

I have a group of geckos that I keep on mainly mealworms and occasional crickets. I also have a group that keep on just crickets. Either feeder is fine, as long as you don't overfeed. Try reducing the amount of meal worms you feed her or how often. Instead of every day, try feeding maybe every two or three days and she will adjust quite well. You could also try some dubia roaches if you don't want to try crickets. Hope this helps! She has an awesome carrot tail by the way:)
