Crickets Galore

I have been buying crickets for my juvenile in increments of 15 small, today I bought the box of crickets (supposedly 25-30 sm/md). The guy told me just to put the box in the enclosure and my baby girl would eat as she wanted. Apparently there were more than 30... More like 40-50. Obviously this is too many right? I pulled most of them out and left 5 or 6. I guess my question is how many is ok, will they annoy her if there are too many.?

Agreed. You should only out in as many crickets as your gecko will eat within a fifteen minute period. Any extra should then be removed. I've had rescue leos that have had their toes chewed off by crickets that were left in the cage and got hungry :(

That was my thought Dinosaur but the guy I spoke to said it wasn't a problem because they had food in the box they come in. I'm glad I'm a skeptic. Of course now I have crickets running around my bedroom because I was trying to re catch them and all.

Even if the crickets didn't try to eat the gecko, I'm sure it would not be very pleasant to have crickets crawling around on you when you're trying to sleep. ;) It always amazes me the ridiculous advice you hear...
