Phoenix worms?

What can be done with phoenix worm larva that have turned black? I have tried feeding a couple to my gecko's and they just spit them out. Do I just throw them away?

Black phoenix worms are usually dead in my experience. They could also be pupating, but I'm not sure. So I would put them in a seperate container and let them pupate (if you want to breed them), or just put them in a plastic bag, crush it, and throw them away (to keep them from getting loose in the wild and becoming an invasive species.)
