I really am not sure what I am doing wrong. I do sprinkle the "meal" over the bottom of the tank rather than on a plate because with my last attempts, I would never see any of them eat. There is a hot area that is perfect breeding temperature, I have seen tiny babies running around, but I ordered a ton of mediums and poof! GONE! I also notice that the tiny ones have disappeared. I don't know what to do, it isn't like they are short on food or water, and my gecko can't eat the big ones, so I'm usually really scrounging through the egg cartons...

I use a mixture that I bought from a reptile show, so unfortunately I'm not sure, but I've also used LLLReptile's formula. I used to use water crystals for the water, but I never would see them near it, so I started misting the tank with a spray bottle and they lick up the drops

Hmm, not sure. The only reasons I can imagine are lack of food and/or moisture. Maybe try adding some fresh vegetables to their feeding routine for additional food/water sources? I often use carrots, squash, and fresh greens in my bins. It also might be good to leave in some water crystals as a backup moisture source for after the water spray evaporates.

I replaced the little egg cartons pieces with the large "sheets" of them, and I think that was the problem - too much crowding. Of course they gather in areas now, but it just must be less stressful for them.
