Lost Superworm

I was feeding my leo a few super worms tonight and I think one is digging around in the tank. And I'm not sure how to find the stupid thing. Ive sifted through with the tongs and checked under hides. Last time I lost a worm I was horrified to find a darkling beetle laying dead after it drowned itself in my leo's water dish a couple weeks later. And I'd really prefer for that to not happen again. Any advice on finding the worm or making sure it doesn't nip my gecko's foot (it's happened once before) would be really appreciated

You could dig up the whole tank, or you could just wait for the beetle to show up. Happens to me all the time!
