Just be careful they don't get out. Many European keepers stopped keeping them due to their invasive nature, as with any roach.

Outside of that I'd say they would be a good bet. I have heard some people pop them in the refrigerator for a few minutes before feeding them to leos, to slow them down a bit.

They are fast critters, and breed great.. also, they do not climb glass.

I'm breeding them again. They breed quick and my leos love them.

You do have to make sure they do not get out in warm climates. They will not live past winter in cooler states. I can say this from experience. Two years ago I had them in my garage on a shelf. My bins lid had a large whole in the top for ventilation. I didn't think they could get out. Well, I was wrong! They got out and started reproducing in my garage. I had a hard time getting rid of them. I had to get some pesticide from my friend who works for Terminix.

I'm breeding them again. However, my lid has screen covering the whole. I also put a few rows of clear packing tape around the top of the inside of the bin. This way they cannot climb out. These roaches are not climbers. However, some of the bins are rough enough for them to get a good footing.
