Smile Can I feed my gecko blood worms, or red trout worms?

I seen at 7-11, ya the store they have blood worms and red trout worms, is it ok if I feed my gecko these? Can I use as a stable diet as well? I always feed worms and nothing else but I read wax worms is not a good stable diet, so i just feed regular worms. I need to get my gecko food tomorrow, so please let me know, thanks.

Nooo no no no lol. Bait for fishing is NOT the same quality food items your gecko needs. Fish bait can contain things that would harm your gecko severely.

When you say regular worms, you do mean meal worms right? Not earth worms.

Be who you are and say what you feel,

Yea 7-11 also has meal worms, so I also feed my geckos these and have been for a long time. My boyfriend says he feeds his fish worms from the back yard and fish are very sensitive, so he says and that does hurt them. There are no chemicals on the worms from the back yard but no I have not feed my gecko those worms.

Yes it is and they have blood worms, meal worms and trout worms in the freezer section. I have fed the meal worms but wanted to know if the blood worms were ok to use. I read online some people feed their gecko's blood worms. However I did not see anything about trout worms.

I'm going to go with no on this as well.
Fish will eat "Earthworms" and bloodworms and that's okay.
I'm thinking it's not safe for leos.

... wait, your 7-11 has bait? That sucks!
Mine only has beer, jerky, cookies and nukeable breakfast sammiches!

(and in that vein of quality products, I wouldn't feed my leo *ANYTHING* from the local 7-11 Though I guess if they're selling mealworms those are probably safe)

I've never heard of these being feeders for geckos, especially Leopard Geckos. They're in the freezer section? Does that mean you feed your geckos frozen mealies or do they come back after you have them out for a little while?

My 7-11 doesn't even have a gas station attached to it, lol You have a very interesting 7-11

I would say no as well...Typically frogs eat blood worms and thats the only thing I have ever heared of eating them as a staple diet

If it eats dirt its not going to offer much nutrition to your gecko.
