How much does your 3 month old gecko eat?

I have a 3 month old gecko and I'm not sure how many mealies I should give him. The mealies i give him are the size when they are about to pupate so they are pretty big.

Mine is probably that. He had close to ten crickets today. He doesn't want the mealies lately. I won't put them in there. They just end up cooking and making a mess.

if it won't eat from the bowl just keep feeding until it stops eating.

This is what I've been doing and it works great. Not to mention it's fun to watch them pounce their food. ;)

Speaking of mealies, I have two questions:

How does one dust mealworms exactly? When dealing with crickets I would have a small jar with calci-powder in there, drop the crickets inside, close it, and thoroughly shake it side to side. It gets the job done when I do it with crickets but when I do the same thing using mealworms barely any powder sticks to them. Any tips?

Also, second question, I added mealies to my geckos diet a few weeks ago for the first time ever. She's now eating mealworms and crickets. Since adding mealworms her tail has actually started to change a bit of colour. It's gained a light-pink tint. Is this normal? Any idea if this is due to the change in diet or is it something else I should be concerned about? She's coming in on 6 months now if that matters.

Thank you!

Well, what I do is I slightly mist the mealies then I put them into a bowl and roll them around. Your method sounds more effective though. I think I'll try that. My gecko had the light-pink tint on his tail before. He was on mealies then and he is still on mealies. His tail isn't pink anymore though.

If dusting mealworms using a jar works for you let me know. It never seems to stick to the mealies when I try it.
