just wondering if waxworms would be better suited for my baby leos. i noticed a regurgitated mealworm in both of their tanks this morning. perhaps the waxworms would be better? easier to digest? also are they more nutritional without gutloading? any tips on gutloading waxworms? thanks in advance.

Waxworms are a good supplement, but too fatty to use as a staple. If you are having issues with regurgitation, make sure they are not overeating and check your temps, it should be in the mid to high 90s on the hot side.

Wax worms should not be a staple diet, they are too fatty. Wax worms are used more as a treat than anything else. Also if you feed your leo too many wax worms such as one every day, it can become addicted to them and may reject all other feeders.

And check your temps. Leos need belly heat to digest their food since their body cannot produce its own heat like our bodies. Your warm side should be in the 90s. My warm side is 91-93.
