    Default Freeze dried mealworms

Hey guys, sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but would Leopard Geckos eat freeze dried meal worms? I only ask, because I dont think ++++++++ sells live meal worms, and i'm not sure that my other local pet/reptile store does either.

++++++++s usually have live worms and crickets.
Geckos will generally not eat anything that is not moving.

I have seen people starve their geckos to death by insisting they can "learn" to eat dead food. Not since 2000, but still. I can't say I recommend it.

Well that is good to know! I did not know ++++++++ carried live worms, I have gotten crickets from there before, but my gecko doesnt seem too interested in them. He just lets them roam around his tank, sometimes i'll wait for a good hour or so for him to eat one and he wont. So it usually ends in me scooping the crickets back out. Thought I would give meal worms a try since they can be left in a dish unlike crickets!

The mealworms are probably kept in a back room in a fridge at ++++++++, you usually have to ask someone to get them for you, and they usually are half dead from ++++++++

If freezedried has the same effect as it does on fish when fed it will expand in the animals stomache, after they eat what fills them it then also expands thus creating issues, I also thought leos got a portion of their moisture from their feeders so id reccomend against it, plus they dont tend to like it if its not moving. Crickets might just be your option.
Please, please tell me what they looked like,
Did they seem afraid of you?
They were kids that I once knew..

russell is right, I thought the same about ++++++++ not having mealies but they keep them in the backroom...the ones I seen them bring out were fine, but he is right alot of the times they dont sell it which they just sit there and alot are dead. And Im glad you remove the crickets, i cant stand when people leave the crickets in there for long long periods of time. Try feeding him the crickets in a seperate container/tank if you have one...mabye having 3 or 4 crawling around in plain sight may trigger interest...some leos dont react the same and wont eat in another atmosphere other then there cage...but if yours are like mine..they didnt mind the separate feeding area when I fed them crickets.
