Default How much do you feed your leopard gecko?

This question is commonly asked and nobody truly has a definitive answer since every gecko is different. I figured this would clear up some confusions for those new to the Leopard Gecko world (and for myself).

Note: If you feed them a set amount, please post what that set amount is. Thanks!

I know this is the answer that you probably don want to hear. But it is different for each and every gecko. I have some geckos that I have to not feed as much as they will eat because they will get fat. I have some geckos who are healthy and eat twice as much. I honestly just go by what I know about each gecko

I feed every other day. Babies get 10 mealworms refreshed in their dish, adults get 5 large supers, juveniles get 5 large mealworms and 2 large supers. Some feedings everyone gets 10 crickets instead, occassionally they get silks as much as they'll eat. And recovering from breeding females get a newborn pinky and pheonix worms as much as they eat.

I thank you for those that have responded thus far. I definitely understand that it changes gecko to gecko. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't feeding an extremely to high or low amount. I tend to feed crickets until she gets tired of them (usually 3 to 4 mediums) and then 7-8 meal worms daily. Shes about 8 months old I would say and we haven't weighed her but she isn't as plump as the rest of yours lol.

I have phoenix worms coming in the mail so I can finally do away with meal worms for a good bit.

Just aslong as there healthy, some geckos dont get as big as some can. And just some advice you should really invest in a scale and monitor the weight

Yeah I'm definitely going to. Any suggestions of a brand or are they all about the same?

you dont have to go to fancy or get a double digit(which usually cost more) just a simple digital kitchen scale.

When I first got my guy he was eating 10 mealies a day and then he decided he didn't want mealies anymore. I switched to phoenix worms and I feed him 5-7 a day cause if I feed him to many he just regurgitates it. I feed him crickets too every once in a while and he'll eat 3-4 medium crickets at a time. As they get older their tastes change so I encourage you to feed them with a varied diet to keep them healthy and happy!
