thats a really red cricket! i wonder if any of its offspring will take on its coloring? this could become interesting!

i know this thread was falling, but i just found this article that made me think about this cricket! i don't know if it actually is one of these, but it just reminded me of your red cricket because these crickets are darker too ----> Attack of the Feeder Crickets | Gecko Time

Dinosaur, thanks for the link. I think some were shipped to me. They hurt one of my mantids and certainly gave me afew bites! Hateful beasts! A vendor that advertizes here sells the domestic house cricket. I will buy from them from now on.
Only coming here back now after seeing other species and thinking it may be one of them, yeah! I thought about the steppes cricket (sing less and smell less -some says it smells more- also got a quite red top color..);
It'd be a small one or subadult then cause adult version is MUCH bigger then regular cricket.. Jamaican cricket? Well it's maybe another of it's name :
