Do you have to dust the feeders or can I just put a bowl of it in the viv and they will eat it when needed ?

You dust your feeders with it. I don't use that stuff. I used it last year and had 3 leopards get issues with calcium. I switched to Rep-Cal and have not had any probs since. Thats my personal experience with it. I have a bag of the new formule but relectent to try it.

I just started using it. I'm only dusting the feeders with it 2 times a week. The rest of the time I'm using rep-cal to dust them (and put extra in their dishes).

That stuff is the best supplement I've used--for the leos, AFTs and Rhacs. I dust all livefoods with it. I also keep a fresh lid of calcium with D3 (rep-cal) in the enclosures at all times.

I use Jurrasi-Cal for the non-D3 formula and Rep-Cal with D3 for my D3 formula. :)

If you do a search on my username you can get quite a bit of info about my experience with Calcium Plus. I helped test the current formulation. My 300+ geckos give it the thumbs up. Seen a lot of supplements, bred a lot of gecko. John, you should try that sample bag I gave ya. Have some faith buddy!

Yeah Yeah I am thinking about it :p My wife and I were talking about trying it soon since we are going through more dusting supplies with the mealworm shortage and feeding the new Bearded Dragon crickets.
Julie sell it on her site.

I actually referred to Allen Repashy as an "easy button" today as he saves me a lot of work with Calcium Plus and his handy MRP diets. I don't miss all that mixing of the supplements. Ack! With the amount of geckos I have it was tedious. :main_rolleyes: :main_laugh:

Julie would you recommend using a dish of the Calci Plus in the Leopard tanks or just dusting with it? I put a dish of it in the tanks to try it out a few days ago so I was wondering if anyone else is using it like that as well. :)

I think the residual amount that is left in feeding dishes is plenty adequate. :main_thumbsup:

I use it for dusting insects and in their calcium dish and it works great...I'm not a big breeder by any means, but we've produced a little over 500 leos this year and haven't seen a single incident of MBD.

I will say, though...when I used the Repashy stuff in conjunction with another product in the calcium dish (early last season), we did have some MBD problems with probably 20-30 geckos. I'm sure it was probably because I was doing something wrong, but still...if I can eliminate that issue by switching to one product instead of two, I'm all for it.
