Ok, I've been using calcium to dust my crickets that has D3 in it. As I have been reading, it seems the D3 is for reptiles that need UVA and/or UVB, so since my leos don't need this will it hurt them?

Too much D3 can hurt them. I recommend using Repashy Calcium Plus and dusting every feeder with it. Your gecko needs more than just Calcium and D3. Many people on here use Calcium Plus. I have used it since I got my leo as a baby and she is strong and healthy. :)

D3 is for all reptiles. It allows their bodies to utilize the calcium. Without it, they can eat all the calcium they want, but their bodies can't use it. UVB triggers the production of D3, so reptiles provided with UVB lighting usually aren't given D3. However, any that isn't provided UVB needs it from something else, hence the supplements. I would recommend Repashy also.

Thanks, I will try and find that Repashy. And btw My leos do not get UVB so a little of the D3 is good for them then?

Leo's don't need UVB but they do need a little D3. In theory they can overdose if they are given a whole lot but I've never read of the case of an overdose. I dust feeders with Calcium with D3 once every other week and leave a soda cap of plain pure calcium in their tanks 24/7.
