what is this hole in the skin of my gecko´s tail? injury or disease? how should I treat it? neosporin or no?

This is a picture of my leopard gecko´s tail. She acquired the lesion while being babysat by a novice caregiver, sometime during her two weeks with them. My first hunch is that it is a lesion caused by a superworm biting or trying to feed on her, as I discovered that they had left several superworms in the tank, possibly over the period of a few days.

As it is on the top of her tail, it is clean. Any help would be appreciated!!! Norton is a mature female who has given up eating crickets and mostly lives on mealworms.

Thank you!

Could be a superworm bite or a place where she bit or rubbed herself trying to get some shed off. Keep it clean and keep an eye on it. It should heal well on its own. If she sheds soon, it may pull a bit if it's not healed yet and you may have to help her. If it spreads or seems infected, she will need a vet visit.
