My 3 year old female shed about a week and a half ago. Everything came off except for a patch right in between her nostrils. Normally this is a problem area for her. She gets it stuck for as long as i have had her and i usually give her a warm soak and im able to easily remove it.

But this time it will not come off. I've been giving her daily warm soaks, moistening a q-tip and gently rubbing it. I bumped up the humidity in her viv. And she has a moist hide at all times.

This piece of skin is very white, hard and has a very rough texture and look. Theres not a single piece of the stuck shed that appears loose. It almost seems "glued" on.
At the moment she is acting normally but she does soak in her water dish.

Right now she is in a 20 gal. 4 hides. Warm, moist, middle and cool. She has an UTH. Temps 90 on the warm, 85 middle. And 80 cool. I had bumped up the humidity up to 60%. Its not consistently at that level. But i've been misting her viv to see if it will help.

Feeding: crickets 2-3 times a week. Pure calcium twice and calcium+ vit d and multivitamin once a week.

Does anyone have advice?

Honestly, unless the shed is stuck somewhere where it can cause blood flow to be cut off or interfere with normal body functions, I usually just wait until the next shed. They usually get those "glued on" pieces off then.

You can try using tweezers to carefully remove the stuck shed off of her nose. Alternatively, you can try using Shed-Ease or similar products to soften the shed. Best of luck!
