Ok I got my little gecko about a month ago. I was hoping against hope it was a boy. Well I have been calling it a he to anyone who would listen. Well, we have a new girl coming soon and thought I would see if my Rocks was a girl or a boy. Well, its a girl. But when I finally got my hands on her, her belly was large. My first thought was way to go mama because when I got her she was really skinny with a tiny pathetic tail. But as I thought about it more I think she may have eggs. (I so hope I am overreacting) This morning I woke up to find a pile of poopy. Not her regular turd but a pile. And as I looked inside her warm moist hide where she stays the majority of the time I saw that all the moist paper towels were dug up. They were in definite disarray. My concern is I am completely ignorant to gecko pregnancy and egg laying. When I got her she was housed with about 5 other geckos and I know they can store semen. How big do they have to be before they reach sexual maturity. The people didn't know how old she was at the pet store so I assumed she was a baby by her size. If she is a baby would the eggs be fertile. I so hope I am wrong. But she has never dug before. She is eating well and is decently active. (I go to sleep early so I don't know how active she is most nights) What should I do if anything? Is she sick or about to lay? The poopy was not runny it was just a pile. Any help would be great. I will try to get a pic of her later. But she hates when I pick her up so not sure I can get on of her tummy.
