I noticed that he started to shed last night and it was fine as usual..this morning there was a big patch on his head and seemed a bit was stuck to his eye ball...i picked up and he started having like a seizure.he mouth would open and close his eyes...i missed him down and put him in a little water and was able to get the skin off his head and he seemed ok after that.

well i left the house for a few hours and he was laying around..i picked him up to check on the skin shedding off his feet and he started having a seizure again.and his tail kept twitching.....i know this isnt normal but anyone know what it could be?

Are you sure he's having a seizure or just getting totally freaked out about you picking him up? The next time you pick him up, try scooping him up and then making a little cave with your hands so he can sit in there without being held around the torso. Keep an eye on his behavior when he's in his cage, especially at night when he should be a bit more active. If he seems to be fine when you're not holding him, he's probably OK. If you're really worried about him, he could use a trip to a reptile vet. One way to find a reptile vet is to call a local non-reptile vet and ask for a referral.

Maybe he just got kinda' freaked out when you started to pick off his shed, and now every time you pick him up he probably thinks you are going to pick off more shed. So he is warning you that he doesnt like it by thrashing around and opening his mouth.:)

thats sounds like a good reason...I'll leave him be for the rest of the night and see how he's faring in the morning.

well ive been doing some esearch online and it seems like hes suffering from a calcium deficiency...he was having random spasms in his tank today and can barely walk.

i couldnt get him to eat so i put a dish of calcium in his tank and wet his ose and put soome powder on it..he licked it off so i hope that helps.

sounds right, my little feller gets really pissed when hes shedding, especially if i pick at him. i always leave him alone for a couple days after a shed even before i soak him for his feet if there bad. as for the shaking, the calcium sounds like it could be right but calcium is always good anyway.

SAD news but I woke up this morning and I found that my gecko had died last night. =( All this happened so quick I really had no idea what was going on with him. I rescued him from ***** and he looked like we was going to die when I bought him and I nurtured him and he got real big and healthy looking....so I really have no idea what happened!

I'm very sorry for your loss. Sometimes there are things wrong with them that just can't be fixed. I had the same thing happen to me with my first gecko which I got from a major pet store chain. She did OK at first, then declined. I took her to the vet, had her dewormed and took her off the sand but after doing well for about 6 months, she just declined and died. I really don't know why. I hope this doesn't sour you on geckos and that when you're ready to try again you're able to get one from a reputable breeder and will have better luck.

Wow, I'm so sorry:( that really stinks. I would let him pick out a new leo. I got my beautiful super snow girl from Mike & Jess at Fallen Angel's Geckos(http://fallenangelgeckos.com), they always have nice leos. Jess is a great person & will help you in any way you might need it. I'm buying my next SHTCT female from Nevin at Moyers Monsters (http://moyersmonster.com). He has some really nice leos to choose from. :) Hope this helps, & again, I'm sorry for what happend, so sad :(

I'm so sorry for your loss and for having to break the news to your son. I remember being told when my pet turtle, Nancy, died. Not easy for anyone. But I would definitely try again. I would recommend just about any breeder on this forum. Everyone here is wonderful. :)
