I have a hatchling that hatched out blind. I have been hand feeding by mashing up crickets, mealworms, water, and calcium and using a dropper to feed her. she is doing well so far.
I have heard a lot of good things about a slurry that I think Marcia invented? I went to her website and could not find it. If someone cold give me a link or give me instructions on how to make it that would be awesome. Thanks!

"In a blender, combine:
1 small can Hill's A/D pet food (available at most vets)
1/4-1/3 cup Ensure (not chocolate)
1 jar baby food squash
1/4-1/3 cup Pedialite
2 tablets or contents of 2 capsules milk thistle (herbal supplement, liver purifier, found at most drug stores.)
1/2 tsp. each calcium powder and herp vitamin powder
1 large handful of mealworms, added slowly while mixture is blending

Puree all ingredients until completely smooth, and pour into ice cube tray(s) and freeze. Store cubes in zip-lock bag in the freezer until ready to use, then thaw out 1 cube at a time and store in fridge for 2-3 days. I use the empty baby food jar for this purpose, washing it thoroughly after each batch.

Using this mixture, draw a full dropper (eye dropper type) and place a drop on the gecko's nose. It will lick it off, and as it does, slowly squeeze out a little at a time. Most geckos love this food, and will lap it up."

My slurry recipe can be found as a 'sticky' at the top of the "Health and Medications" Forum.

Pedialite is a liquid that contains electrolytes and helps with dehydration. It is given to babies that have diarrhea, so I usually find it in the baby food section of the grocery store or drugstore.

Most of the things can easily be found at a grocery store, pet store, and vet. It took me about a 1/2 hour to round everything up. The a/d pet food can just be requested when you go in to your vet. Very easy to make, and has saved my butt on numerous occasions! There's not really one ingredient I don't find necessary, although I didn't include the milk thistle only because I forgot to purchase it...Marcia's very smart :)

I found all of the ingredients at walmart. If you get all of the ingredients you can make several batches of it. (I have made two so far). I do not add mealworms to mine however. The first time I didnt add any mealworms because of the shortage and now I just didnt do it because of habit.
