I've tried to fins some pictures of geckos with impaction, but I haven't really found any. Can someone post some pictures, or describe to me what it looks like, so that I can know what to look for, just in case?
Thanks much :)

Another thing is, really feeling his/her abdomen, I had an impaction scare last week and the vet was really prying into him. He told me that he should definitely feel something if there was an impaction. Obviously some of the organs down there will look blue through there skin, what you can do is take a small pocket light and shine it through their back, it will illuminate any blockages with a good light in pitch black.

As for pictures I tried to find some good ones aswell but could not come up with any underbelly shots. Would be a nice thing to find and bookmark, although from now on I'm using papertowel!

Thanks!
Okay, you said some of the organs will look blue through the skin...but will they be like on her stomach? Or lower? And which organs perchance?

The stomach is about mid way down, right under the chest bone/ish area I THINK (trying to remember my gecko's X-ray). The rest and what you see mainly is the GI track (intestines etc). If there was an impaction I think it would be a knot in the GI track, so it would be lower then.

That being said if there is a clear mass next to the "stomach area" or lower abdomen that you're unfamiliar with, and your gecko hasn't pooped in 10+ days after eating, then it might be wise to do some home remedies and a vet visit if that doesn't clear it up.

The doctor was very adamant that you would definitely be able to feel something, just wanted to stress that again. Maybe that's not the case in all keeper's impaction tragedies, just saying what I've heard.
