One of my females have been ovulating for a few months now, but because of this she has lost some weight. I know its normal for them to lose weight during this time. She's exactly at 50 grams which is the recommend starting breeding weight. But I'm a little a scared that she'll lose too much after laying. I've been told that they'll gain their weight back after being bred. But Im not 100% sure. I can put up pictures of her upon request so you guys can tell if she's too small or not.

I don't know much about breeding but I do know that they'll be ok and will be a gaining back weight after laying, you just have to make sure to dust the crickets (I hope this helps but like I said I've never bred leopard geckos before this is just from what I've read before)

I have found that with geckos of any weight, some of them bounce back after laying and some don't. Some bounce back one year and don't the next year. I'd recommend that if the female is on the young side, like 9-12 months, to wait, and if she's older, to go ahead.

She'll be 2 in July. So right now she's sitting at 48 grams due to not eating.
So what do you guys think?

I would breed her. Why not? Do you know how? Check out this how to breed leopard geckos article. It has all the info you need. Make sure you feed her very well after she lays her eggs. She will be weak afterwards. This is the time where you feed her well to gain the weight back. But where exactly did yoou read this info about geckos gaining weight after they lay eggs? I would assume it's from eating after laying eggs because they aren't stressed anymore, but idk.

This is my second season breeding. I'm just not sure because the female I bred last year was well over 60 grams. and thats what I think , I think they'll gain their weight back after laying from eating,
