Male refusing Mating

Hi guys,


I got a new Mack snow Raptor(Male 100% sure) on last Friday! he's gorgeous and about 9 Months old.


I introduced in his enclosure two females! but he just run and avoid them.


Is it ok? he's ok about size and weight. i'm asking cause my other male never refuse a mating! hehehee

Congrats on your new gecko. A few things to consider:
--new geckos need to be quarantined from your current geckos for at least a month. I'd advise you separate them for awhile
--as a poster mentioned above, are your females ovulating? This is not the breeding season.

I recommend you separate them, let the male get used to things and put them together mid-January.

They came from the same place! and in Brazil is the season time =) we are in the spring here ^^ and tnks for all advice and help

Good points. I take it back. In that case I'd recommend to give them some time. Do check the female to see if she's ovulating. If not, the presence of the male could trigger it. The male may just need some time to settle down. I had a male that I never saw mating, but both females produced healthy offspring. He may turn out to be a "shy" one.
