I bought a female gecko under the pretense she was to small to breed and would only make a good pet. A little to my surprise she got big and this morning laid her first clutch of eggs but I'm not knowledgeable as to what to do. I have surfed Google but don't have what it requires to try to incubate these eggs as as all stores are closed. Does anyone have any methods they have tried that work as I want to try my hand at hatching these eggs? Any knowledge would be valuable and much appreciated

I have no experience in gecko breeding I'm afraid, but from what I've read and seen you need an incubator to get them to hatch, otherwise I'm pretty sure they'll die. On the other hand, there are no incubators in the wild, so until you can get your best bet is probably leaving them in your geckos enclosure. Her little domain is definitely closer to wild conditions than anywhere else in your house, and without an incubator they probably have the best chance at survival at the temperature and humidity your gecko lives at.

Has this female been with a male? If not, the eggs aren't fertile anyway. In general, any place you can find that will keep the eggs at a steady temperature, somewhere between 80-88, will likely result in at least some (fertile eggs) hatching. Good luck with them, and if these don't work out and your gecko has been with a male, there may be another 2 eggs in a few weeks.

Before I got her she was mated with a radar but he said he felt she was to small for his liking and let me adopt her as he didn't feel he had a use for her. He said he also wasn't sure if she took so there were no gureentee so I thought nothing of it and definitely wasn't prepared. Now I'm stuck trying to figure what I'm going to do as I'm more of a pet guy didn't think of the possibility of breeding. I know I'd feel guilty if those eggs are viable and I threw them out though.

See if there's someone in your area (you could contact local herp society, or even the guy who sold her to you) and see if they could incubate the eggs for you.
