    Default infertile eggs??

I have a female that is laying infertile eggs and has not been bred to a male. The person I bought her from said she has been known to do this previously as well.

She's under 40 grams, but if she's going to lay anyway, should I just let her mate?

She doesn't weigh enough to be bred yet. Wait till she's at minimum 50 grams. 55-60 is better though. You don't want to risk her health just becuase she's alreayd laying. Ya know?

right but the stressful part is the egg carrying and laying, not the mating, right?

she's laying eggs either way and not reabsorbing them. This seems to happen no matter what. she was once well over 50 grams, but now she cant hold the weight because she keeps laying eggs all of the time.

there as another thread about this and they said just to leave it be, she might reabsorb 1 or 2 clutches and that would help

Just let her be. She should stop laying eggs enough to gain the weight back.
