I would separate the geckos, so they are less stressed out. That may resolve the issue.

They will likely do better to be separated when about to lay. Some females will hold eggs until they feel "safe" to lay. Leave the one about to go in the enclosure, so she has her familiar places, and take the other out for a few days.

Lisa: what did you do with my eggs???
Colleen: mom took them, I saw her.
Lisa: no, you did something, you little *****
Colleen: I did not! Mom has them.
Lisa: fine, then I won't eat for 2 months. Mom is a meaniehead.

Fortunately, Lisa is back to eating daily. Colleen has been shacking up with her boyfriend. All is well again :)

-when you think the gecko is about ready to lay, put her in the box every time you go by

-if this doesn't work, consider getting a small cage, putting lay box substrate in the whole thing and putting the gecko in there when she seems ready to lay.
