choosing an incubator will also depend on other factors such as, volume of eggs being produced, amount you want to spend, ease/availability to get one, and so on. If you are just starting out and are looking for a cheap but affective incubator then go with a Hova. There are many different models but all are just about the same +/- bells and whistles. If you want to step it up a little bit then there are mini fridge incubators (mr-148, thinkgeek, and so on). Then you get into Nature spirits and other incubators which are WELL worth it if yo have the need for a big incubator or the finances laying around to get one (thermostat not included).

I agree with Travis. Go for the gold and buy the best you can. You don't want it cramping out on you half way through. Exoterra mini fridge was goo but only lasted one season for me. It's $150 and free shipping on amazon.

As Travis asked, what are your goals? Lots of eggs, or just a few females? I have a 15 year old hovabator that is still working just fine. That said, I spoke with Animal Plastics yesterday, and they are working on a smaller version of their incubator, which should compete well with the Nature Spirits models.

Thinkgeek discontinued those mini-fridge ones, as did LLL. I have a feeling ExoTerra will drop them as well, as the reviews seem to be lukewarm at best.
