I bought a female raptor gecko (named Luna) from a man who said she was possibly gravid from his male giant. She's a approx two or three years and appears very healthy and fat. However she's not eating. She's eaten 2 meal worms fed by hand but I've been unable to get her to eat anything else. I've had her exactly one week now, I try not to bother her much so she can settle. From looking at her stomach I haven't been able to distinguish or not if she is in fact gravid, I'm hoping for this to be the reason of not eating and not something worse. Any wisdom much appreciated :)
I can post pictures if that would help.

Females will slow down or go off food when the are ovulating or producing eggs. It could also be because she is not settled in quite yet or a combination of the two. Thats is a little odd to me that someone would sell a gravid female, but stranger things have happened.
If you want some opinions on weather she is gravid or not then you can post pictures of her belly. I assume you have everything you need to hatch and care for the potential babies? IF she is gravid you could be looking at 8-12+ babies.

I've been researching for the past six months and have wanted to start getting into breeding. I believe I have what I need (moist hide container with moss, thermometer, incubator setup, vermiculite, and extra tanks) but I've never bred before. I bought her from a local with intentions of breeding her in the future but had no idea she was possibly gravid until i met the person to pick her up.

I don't see anything obvious but it is hard to tell from that picture. Here are two pictures of one of my ovulating females I took earlier today for another thread.

The second picture I tried to lighten so it was easier to see.

She is almost to the point of the eggs getting shelled so the ovulations are quite large.
I know if you search the threads you can find a thread that has alot better pictures with ovulating females and females with eggs inside to compare.
What morph was the giant she was paired with?

Turns out she was in fact gravid!! I now have two eggs from her that are safely in the incubator and hopefully in time they will hatch into healthy babies! I contacted the man I got her from, she was with a male albino giant leo. So excited to see what the hatchlings will look like!
