I bought 2 THG at the corning reptile show this past weekend and i was wondering if it would be fine to move me eggs that are currently sitting in vermiculite to the THG? Or could that cause problems?

Also on another note when i was incubation with vermiculite almost all my eggs ended up molding, but when i ran out of vermiculite and bought per-lite i have only had one egg mold. I was wondering why with vermiculite they were all molding but not with vermiculite.

What ratio of water to substrate are you using? Moving them shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure the substrate is not touching the bottom of the egg tray and that you make the cups and give them a chance to warm up in the incubator for an hour or two before moving the eggs. Also, keep a close eye on the eggs if you're using a top-heat style incubator like a Hovabator. Suspended incubation methods don;t always work well in those as the heat can make the humidity uneven.

The trays sometimes work. Just keep a close eye on your eggs and a backup container of properly measured vermiculite or perlite ready. If the eggs start to dent then move them back into the substrate.
