The people who make the SIM (Squamata) had a special adaptation to the hobovator because of the general drying out problem (since hobovator heat comes from the top). Googling SIM on the forum may get you to it, or you could look for the squamata concept website.

I have used a wet sponge within a small Tupper wear container within the incubator. That has helped with keeping the humidity high within my system. Nevertheless I check my incubator often to make sure the eggs are not getting mold of mold is not growing on top of my incubator substrate or the sides of the cups the eggs are in. Hope this helped.
