Hi everyone,

I have a clutch of eggs that was laid by my female leopard gecko, and they have been incubating for about 6 or 7 weeks at an average temp. of approx. 82 degrees.
Recently, about a week ago, one of the eggs became very wrinkled and crumpled looking. I read that this is one of the signs that an egg is hatching, so I've been waiting for it to hatch. However, it has actually started to grow mold... Could the embryo have died? If so, could it have been about to hatch when it died, or did it just not make it?

Thanks!
Btw,I picked it up, and I could feel the embryo inside, which is why I think it could have died just before it hatched... If it died...

Unfortunately, it happens to me all the time. Either the embryo has died or in some cases, I open the egg and there never was anything there at all. I hope you have better luck with the rest of them.
