Hey everyone, so my female laid a great clutch of two eggs. She laid last night, but I collected the eggs this morning around 9am. They are fertile eggs. My question is, how long can the eggs last before making it in the incubator? Sorry this is my first clutch ever! new to this, cheers.:main_robin:

As long as they don't go below 75 degrees (F) for an extended period of time they won't be harmed. Your female (hopefully) buried them in the moist hide over the warm part of the enclosure which will keep them at a stable temperature. People have had eggs that they missed hatch in with the parents. They basically incubated in the hide and turned out fine.

Sadly, my moist hide isn't under the heat mat at all.(barely). The eggs were in cold Eco earth. Fingers crossed but I think I messed this one up. Ugh disappointed in myself. The one night I didn't stay up lol.

I honestly don't think its that big of a deal. =P I never stay up waiting for eggs and my layboxes are on the cool side as well. I think I even discovered a clutch more than 24 hours after it was laid (I was really busy and forgot) and it seems to be doing well. I live in the mountains, so it's not exactly warm at night here, either. The eggs are pretty hardy.
