Incubating eggs in a container on the warm side of the cage(with correct humidity and temp of course)..what are your thoughts on this?? I have heard of many ppl doing this with success. Also just another question.. how much temperature fluctuation is too much when incubating leo eggs?? obviously the less the better...

You can incubate in the cage as long as temps are correct. You should try to avoid fluctuating temps but they will hatch anywhere from 75-95 degrees

Search the forums. There's someone on here that has hatched eggs by just letting their geckos lay and bury them and leaving them where they're laid.

My incubator took a dive last year right as I was in the middle of the season. My wife sweared up and down that they would hatch in the larger hardwood tanks that I use for my premium adults. Sure enough we hatched over 30 of them by using a large sealed container with a small hole on each end. Only lost about 6 eggs out of 35 or so. Placed it in the cage above the heat rope that runs parallel to the back of the cage and elevated it a couple inches off the bottom by setting it on some larger chopped rocks that were flat and stable. Make sure that its stable enough that the gecko's in the tank can't knock it over.
