Egg question

I have an egg in the incubator at 31.5-33°C (about.. 88.5-91°F.. I think).. It's been in the incubator for 38 days, and when I candle it, it's just white with veins, and the bottom and a liiittle more of the egg is black, and I can see the gecko is moving inside the egg, and it's moving alot. But should'nt the gecko be bigger by now? Or is it ok? The egg is about 4.5cm long now (it has swelled)

Hang in there Melinda! 30days is just an average time when incubating for males (88-91). The egg swelling up is a sign his getting ready to hatch out; patience grasshoppa ;). I can't wait to see what you produce!

Thanks :D. Haha, hard to wait when it's the first time ^^ Do you know how many days it will take to hatch after the egg started to swell? a week? more/less? :p

Def. check on him a few times a day to see if he has set himself free; it's down to the wire now! Sounds like it could be less a matter of days- but it varies and may take longer; How exciting!! Stoked for u

I just had two hatch out today that were incubated @ 89 degrees and this is day 43. I believe it is a good thing when the hatchlings stay in the egg a little bit longer. (though the whole waiting part stinks!) This way they have a little more time to absorb as much nutrients from the yolk as possible before hatching.

It hatched two days ago :D. uploaded pics in ''show off your leos''. Can upload one here to when I find the pics in the comupter :p
