I have a hatchling with a very short tail. I just wondered if it was a problem or if it meant anything. I just can't help but notice it every time I interact with this hatchling.
She can uncurl her tail just fine. =) I just want to make sure there isn't anything weird going on with it. It is definitely shorter than the others, but doesn't seem to be causing any problems for her.
There was a discussion about this on one of the Facebook groups a while ago (can go look it up if you would like). Most people considered it a conformational defect (and thus, would not breed a short-tailed gecko), although there was no agreement on whether it was genetic or an incubation issue.
