This comes from the book Mysterious Creatures A Guide To Cryptozoology...

Minton and Minton (1969) report that natives
of northern India tell chilling stories of the
BIS-COBRA, whose name indicates it has the
killing power of 20 cobras. The culprit turns
out to be the harmless gecko Eublepharis hardwickii.

In Pakistan, natives call the related
gecko Eublepharis macularius the Hun-khun,
and hold it to be “the deadliest creature . . .
more dangerous than the Cobra.”(Minton
and Minton, 1969; Goodman and Hobbs,
1994; personal observation).

I am breeding mine to eat children as we speak....

The fear of reptiles is rampid in areas where most snakes are indeed killers of humans.

Thank Goodness I must have a natural immunity because I have one little S*** that loves to bite me on a daily basis. Fascinating what ideas people have though.

Oh no! To think that I held them so much, and I was thinking of populating the Earth more with the deadliest reptiles in the world! I hope they didn't bit me =D.

I'll keep an ambulance on standby at all times when handling them now. Whew, glad to know about this kind of important detail.

It's crazy what conclusions first explorers jump to with things.

I think I hear that question 10-20 times a day at a show.

"Are those things poisonous!?"

Haha, I'd have a hard time not laughing in their faces. "Why of course, would your child like to hold one??" hahaha

OMG I have been asked if they are poisinous. But to think people really think they are deadly. Man what the h*** has the world come to. I love these animals more then I do a cat or dog let alone my brand new 08 cobalt. These animals are my life! And to think that people think they can kill me. I think we should all get together and have a show put on tv about reptiles. How they are going to kill us! In my city I can't even own my snakes. They are a constrictor snake. We are trying to fight it. I am more afraid of a pit bull and some does then I am my snake. I can force his mouth open to make sure he doesn't have a uri. But I don't think I could do that with a dog or puppy without being bit. People crack me up!
