poskok - i do not believe that this gecko was "given" to the snake for the sake of the photo... and i am a gecko fan too, but also know that nature is nature. The same way you wouldn't interrupt if u were on an African safari and saw a poor little deer being attacked by a lion, lol...

the two of you that stated the type of snake were right on! that is a paradise flying snake! and they are beautiful snakes for sure! and they are pretty flighty in the wild so i highly doubt that "the gecko was given to the snake for the photo"...for one the snake wouldnt stick around for them to "give" it the gecko, and two, if they did catch the snake and it chilled out, i still doubt it would eat for them...just sayin. the pic is an amazing pic, nonetheless. and during the time of the photo, i doubt there were any in captivity, there still are only a handfull of these animals in captivity...but i would pay some good money to have one, if i could find one!

and i went back and looked at the photo again, and i think that snake could absolutely swollow that gecko! it probably took him a few, but im sure he could handle it....assuming the gecko EVER let go of him! :main_cool3:
