I have stumbled upon this forum and hoping for some help. yesterday I was cleaning out my gecko's tank ( we have 2 females about a year old now- ) and I noticed some ants- SMALL ants look tan-light red- I took out my girls- cleaned the tank- top to bottom ( so I thought) and put everything back- kept out the carpet, put down a papertowel so I could get a better look. I just looked about an hour ago and there are more ants. I tried to find online what they are- I don't think they are pinhead crickets these look just like small ants. Help- what do I do? just keep clearing out their tank - every day? maybe move the tank to a different area?

Welcome to GF. See if you can figure out where they're coming from. Many ants can climb glass. I tend to get the big black ones that like to eat the gutload in the cricket tank. Capture a few and take them to a local exterminator because they should be able to tell you what kind they are and what their habits are. Get some spray oil and spray around the top of the tank. That should keep new ants out. Good luck.
