My AFT geckos started breeding. I found two eggs so far but I didn't get to then in time. I now have the incubator ready to go but the only problem is I can't find the vermiculite so is there anything else I can use?

I know I am late on this but for the future you can find little bags of organic vermiculite at home depot and lowes I know that for sure you can also use perlite not sure where you can find that just make sure neither have miracle grow in them the other thing you can order online is hatchrite which I am pretty sure is just perlite with water mixed in already good luck with your future eggs just remember to search and read a lot of things always new things to learn in this hobby take care

You can use Perlite, Hatch Rite (right?), etc.

I've read that Vermiculite uses Formaldehyde as a component so I'm extremely hesitant to use it. :|

I use Organic Perlite it's completely safe and works perfect on everything. You can buy it in small bags from nurseries or where I live you can buy huge bags of it from a Tractor/Feed Supply store.
