Switching from crickets to repashy food.

I recently bought a crested gecko and I love him. However I've been wanting to switch his diet from crickets to repashy. I want to do this on order to save my crickets for my leos. But in the pet store the cresty was fed crickets and I'm worried that he won't know what to do with the repashy. Will he know that the repashy is actually food, or will he just ignore it and feed mostly on crickets still?[emoji15]

In most cases, crested geckos pick up on the crested gecko diet as food, provided you cut out the bugs and provide easy access to the new food via multiple feeding locations (especially if the cage is large). It certainly isn't healthy for him to keep eating only crickets! I recommend the Pangea Watermelon Mango flavor, or the Pangea Banana Apricot flavor, as those seem very popular with cresteds.

Just keep in mind that it won't work as well if you keep feeding crickets, as he might not get hungry enough to try something new. Plus, you'll be able to tell if he's sampling the fruit diet if he continues pooping long after you've stopped crickets. :)
