Reptarium for Crested Gecko?

I currently have the 13x13x20 reptarium and according to the thermometer /hygrometer I have my room is 71 degrees and 50% humidity. If I mist regularly and provide a low watt heat bulb could I keep a crested in this terrarium? I have a 36x18x18 exo terra for long term housing but my baby box turtles will need that until next summer so I really just need a terrarium that will be good for a year.

I also will be setting up a dripper for the gecko which I imagine would help a bit with humidity.

All that sounds fine to me. I have kept my gecko in the same conditions over winter and he did fine. Low 70s isn't too bad, but if you absolutely want to use a heat emitter be aware that that seriously dries out the terrarium so I would use it sparingly if you want to keep your humidity up. Misting will definitely be necessary. Good luck with your crestie :)

I don't insist on a heat emitter :) I Just have it on hand if I need it.

I know the babies should be in a 10 gallon for a while to help hunt etc. Its just good to know I have the next few upgrades on hand :)

I know it varies but what age would you usually see at a reptile show? Assuming I get a younger one.

And will I need the soft tray for the reptarium? I am pretty sure I remember just papertowels being recommended .. However I have been researching both leopard geckos and cresteds and the information has gotten a bit mixed up in places.

When I went to the reptile show in my area they had a lot of juvenile cresties. Some started selling at about 3 months and others didn't sell younger than 5-6. Prices vary depending on seller. An about the soft tray I have never heard of using one for cresties but I'm sure you can. Paper towels aren't pretty but they are really easy. I don't however have any experience at all with leopard geckos so I cannot help you there

I wasn't looking for leopard gecko advice :) Just couldn't remember if the paper towels were suggested for the cresteds.

I will look at reptile pages for my area and see how much they usually are, I just want to know how much to take with me.

I'm looking for advice on crested geckos. My first one my son in law found on the UPS dock in Hilliard, Ohio last September. I still can't tell if it is a girl or boy. My 5 year old grandson named it Stripes. I went to the Ohio Reptile Show Saturday and bought a female. I heard they can be housed together if Stripes is a girl or a boy. Her name is Stars. I removed Stripes from the habitat as the seller told me to do so Stars could explore. I have seen them on a branch together one time. Stripes is hanging out on top and Stars in the bottom of the cage. I am feeding Stripes in his regular placei and feeding Stars where she is hanging out. Should I be doing anything else to help acclimate them? They still have all their toes and tails and I haven't seen any blood.
