Crested Costs

I am going to my reptile show soon and plan to pick up a crested and some food for it. ( powdered diet)

I know how much the set up costs etc, but as this is my first reptile show I really want to make sure to take enough money.

I am not looking for any really fancy morphs and I will actually be looking for one with a dropped tail if that matters.

I just need a price range on standards and basic morphs.

Also if we can tell gender are their pros or cons to either? - That in mind, how old are the young at shows usually?

Cresteds can go from $10-1,000 lol all depends on how strong of fancy genics are in them and so on standard/basic morphs usually are
Buckskin(pattern less) for $10-100,
Flames $40-125,
Tigers $40-125.
Fancier Flames called Harlequin go from 50-750 usually depending on genes,
Tigers have a heavier pattern version called Brindle some people still call them Tiger, but they can range same pricing.
Then you get into Pinstripes which can vary heavy price wise depending on the various kinds and colors and combos.

Age of the Cresteds being sold varies breeder to breeder but youngest sold usually are 1 Month old and oldest can be up to 10 years old(10 years old arnt commonly sold but can happen).

Picking up Diet at the show. Pangea is the best to go with and maybe the new Version of Reparshy that just came out. Prices vary depending on how much you buy from $5-$50 if I remember rite.

If you plan on getting a gecko IDE bring more money than for just a basic Morph, you will see a higher end one you will fall in love with, and it's better to buy one you love than one you think looks decent as a starter pet. Same reason animal shelters get full all the time, people buy animals young and don't think about the long run and how they'll look later.(not saying you're like that, but it's something to think about) buy one that you honestly love the looks of and would want to be your pet for the next 10-30 years they can live a long time so pick one you are willing to love for up to 30 years. So IDE take 150-300(if I had it) on a High End just in case and $20 on food. You might find the perfect one for $10 but don't under sell the one you'd rather have.

hope this helps

Thanks, I plan to take a decent amount with me ( also due to get dog food, and current pets come before new ones) But I only plan to come home with a pet if I find one that I really like. I don't even know what all the show will have so I am going into this pretty open minded.

Thanks for the help:) I will also look up morphs before I go and see if anything catches my eye
