Went to one of the big box stores today to get a new toy for my dog and could not pass this dude up.

He, I think its a boy, fired up so nice while I was there that I just fell in love. I hate buying from those stores but I did this little guy a favor from getting beat up anymore, they were already 50% off so I didn't kick up a fuss about the missing tail. Over-all he seems healthy and no obvious signs of MBD or anything else, picked up some Repashy CGD while I was there and have him in a 5.5 gal tank for quarantine until the 30 health guarantee is up. Paper towels for substrate to keep an eye on the poops and lots of fake plants for coverage. Put a medicine cup of the CGD in there for now. Once the 30 days is up, I will be transferring him to something a little bigger unless he needs to stay in the 5.5 a little longer. I want him to start eating good and pooping well for me but don't want to put him in something bigger too soon. I'll be getting a gram scale next week so I can weigh my leopard gecko and try to get a weight on this little dude.

Thanks! I've been doing research on them for a while now to know what I need to do for these guys, so much simpler than my leopard gecko to get set-up.

I do have one question. I mainly feed him Repashy CGD, just the regular not the mango stuff. I have offered him roaches and crickets, in a container so they don't escape, he has so far not shown any interest in wanting them at all. I was told I could mix some of the Repashy Grubs 'N' Fruit in with his CGD if he does not show any interest in bugs at all. I have read not to feed mealworms because the chitin is hard for them to digest. Would the Grubs 'N' Bugs be suitable? Or should I just keep offering bugs until he sparks an interest. I've been dusting one of them in the Calcium plus and he usually just licks the supplement right off of the roach or cricket and goes on about his business.

I know it's only been a week since I got him. I'm giving him his space and only misting his tub, feeding and checking for poops. I have not tried to handle him, he's not tame so this is going to be fun, just observed his behavior to come up with a name. I did switch him over to a converted tub a few days ago and he loves it.

I would order Pangea with insects. I feed Pangea with insects and Repashy on alternating days. Tomorrow I am going to repticon and going to pick up some clarks fig CGD. So that I can rotate the 3 diets. Just to offer some variety. I don't feed bugs.

I have read that as well. I have a leopard gecko so him not eating bugs is not a total loss, Ziggy loves his roaches. I ordered a feeding ledge from Pangea on Thursday and it should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll keep offering and if he still doesn't like them, I'll order some of the Pangea with bugs. Thanks Scott!

My cresties wont even acknowledge bugs. I tried the pangea with insects they wont touch it either so theyre just on pangea complete, seem to be doing fine with just that. Im not that familiar with Repashys CGD but the pangea I know is complete so they dont need the buggies.

I use that one too. I have 4 diets I rotate for variety, Repashy, Pangea with insects, clarks fig, and bpz.
