I'm enjoying reading opinions. I have never been much into geckos other than leopards. I'm more into the larger, bulkier herps (ie: my favorite lizard other than leo's are blue tongued skinks), but I'd love to learn more about other geckos. Maybe someday I'll think about keeping other geckos. Problem is, I like leo's also because they don't have to eat crickets. I won't keep crickets in my house!

Leopard geckos do need crickets. Crested geckos don't though. A good alternative to crickets are cockroaches which are much easier to keep.

My leopard gecko eats mealworms and phoenix worms. And I have no problem adding in other worms for variety. But I will not keep crickets or roaches in my house.

Tiny Viper gecks are great and they are suprisingly calm for such little guys, but not many animals elicit the reaction that some big amyae get when people see them.

Im for viper geckos here, i like the smallness as there tanks dont take much room and there care is pretty much the same as a leos so its pretty easy
