Setting up habitat

My son and I are going to set up a habitat for two velvet geckos (we don't have them yet) and were after some specific details about heating,

We have been looking at this diagram.

http://www.dolittlefarm.com.au/docs/velvet.pdf

From what I understand, a heat pad is placed under one half of the tank under the substrate. The temperature in this spot is supposed to be 30 - 32C. The cool spot in the tank is supposed to be at about 27C.
Where do the thermostat probes go to measure the temperature? Also, from what I can see, the lights are not for heat, so how does one heat the cooler part of the cage?

Thanks. I appreciate your response.

Warmest regards

Angelo

Hi, Angelo,

This sub-forum is for help using the forum itself. You'll probably get more responses if you post this question into one of the gecko forums.

Looking at all the available forums, the right location would seem to be:
Gecko Forums > Australian Gecko Forums > All Other Aussie Geckos
