Okay, hopefully I don't screw this up (or post a duplicate thread I missed), but stumbled upon this and it is one of the more current, 2007, summaries I've seen and had some cool stuff I hadn't seen before. The scale counts give me a headache, but maybe someone here can appreciate it :)

wow, that was longer than I thought, if it doesn't link google "goniurosaurus on hainan island" and you'll find a link four down on the taxonomic data with a "quick view" function. Anyhow I found it fun hope you do too!

Nice find! I enjoy reading articles like this on my spare time. Another interesting/random fact- how did G. luii get its name?
The species is named after my old friend Wai Lui who submitted the original specimens for the taxonomic research in the 90's!
