Reptiles by mack gave me a fine gecko, don't get me wrong. But it's birthdate is three days ago! IS this normal? I chose a juvenile sized gecko. Am I just freaking out? please reply ASAP. thx.:main_thumbsup:

Answered in the chat box, but if you look at the options on the website, juveniles are described as 4" or 5-15 g, a.k.a. "itty bitty". If you feel your geckos is no where near that size, you could complain. Maybe it will make them think about it more carefully next time... Most breeders would never ship a gecko that small, but it's probably par for the course with a large-scale producer like Reptiles by Mack.

Large scale producers do ship quite shortly after the babies hatch. Three days seems like a really short time but I wouldn't say never. If he doesn't start eating within a week I would worry and let them know. Good luck!!

Hatchlings do need a little more care, mostly making sure they get the right food and supplements. Here are links to a few good articles that you can read to get the idea.

Good supplement for hachlings are: Vionate and Osteo Form SA. I mix it and put a lil in the bowl with there worms. I also gut load with it. Good luck.
