Won't use humid hide?

Nix won't use her humid hide. I have tried different ones and paper towels vs. moss. No matter what I try she won't use it. It's on the warm side of her cage, next to her log. It's like an egg shaped type thing. She needs to feel secure so I make sure all of her stuff is covered. She will not use it.
as a result she gets shed stuck on her toes. She then throws a fit when I have to soak her feet and and work the skin off.
do some Leo's just not like their humid hides?

Mine never goes in when I see her. I thought she couldn't find it for a bit, till I happened to catch her there one night.

I'm having the same issue. Only had him/her(too early to tell) a few days but after using the moist hide the first two days now constantly goes to the cool hide. I have it around 86 during night cycle and around 90 during day w a 25w red bulb, should b fine I think.

Depending how you're measuring the temp, it could be too hot.

Most folks use an under tank heater and thermostat to keep the floor surface temp 90 F on the warm side all the time and do not bother to use heat lamps to raise ambient temperature. It isn't really necessary unless your house is colder than 65-70 F at night.

You were absolutely right, measured precisely with a rep infrared thermometer and his moist hide was at 107! i immediately turned off the red and am now closely monitoring the temp every here and there until i get my thermostat in the mail. He just finished snacking on a few crickets and 2 wax worms and is now back in his moist hide hanging out. Thanks!
