So this might be a little odd, but I was trying to think of some things I could do with my gecko and I wondered if I could train her to go through mazes like they do with mice. I was thinking i could start with teaching her to go through a straight set up and then gradually add turns and dead ends. I just think it'd be something interesting to explore and i was wondering if anyone has tried it or thought about it.

I've tried it. It doesn't work with the less evolutionarily derived reptile species (geckos, and many other lizards) I believe it could be possible with other, more derived species of reptile (agamas, varanus, etc) that have more developed brains.

But with geckos, the only way to really get them to know which way to go is to leave a trail of food or food remnants (smearing feeder bugs to create a trail), but then its not really training them to go through a maze, opposed to just guiding them through it.

Unless, who knows, maybe the 16 I tried it with over the course of months were just not fit for the task.
