MY GECKO REFUSES TO EAT DUSTED BUGS

This has been super aggravating for the past few months. I know he doesn't eat as much this time of year, but as a warm-blooded animal I just can't understand how he can go for weeks at a time refusing food. He's very energetic and is constantly climbing his walls asking to come out, and usually I'll let him out to explore my room. Every time I offer him a Dubia that I dust in either pure calcium or Repashy Plus, he'll act like it's not even there. He will completely ignore it, even when I'm holding it right in front of his little nose. It's extremely frustrating. Occasionally I'll have mercy and offer him one without any dusting. And then, suddenly, CHOMP CHOMP! It's gone in two seconds, as if he was starving.

I leave a Gatorade cap of calcium in there, which he appears to mess with, but I'm worried he'll develop a bone disease. How can I fix this?

If this is a consistent problem, perhaps you could add liquid calcium to the water bowl. Another option would be changing to a different supplement to see if it is more easily accepted. Perhaps also you could try dusting lighter.
